Job summary

Campbell's Company is seeking a proactive Indirect Procurement Manager to lead strategies across indirect SG&A spend, including Professional Services and Travel. You will drive supplier relationships, optimize procurement processes, and oversee RFIs, RFPs, and negotiations in partnership with Legal and internal stakeholders.

You will collaborate across People & Culture and other functions to align category plans with business goals, travel 5-10% domestically, and mentor procurement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years in procurement, supply chain, or SG&A roles.
  • Experience with strategic vendor management and contract negotiations.

Responsibilities

How you will make history here…

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Indirect Procurement Manager to lead the development and execution of procurement strategies across indirect SG&A spend categories (~$280MM+ spend), including Professional Services, Consulting, People & Culture, Travel, and Contingent Labor. This position will require critical engagement to support and implement evolving strategies within these categories. This role emphasizes the formulation of strategic initiatives that enhance supplier relationships, drive compliance with preferred suppliers, policies and procedures, and align procurement practices with overall business objectives. The ideal candidate will excel at identifying opportunities for value creation, delivering measurable results, supporting issue resolution creatively, and influencing stakeholders effectively.

What you will do…
  • Key Account Management:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for key supplier accounts, fostering strong relationships to ensure alignment with organizational goals and expanding partnerships through Supplier Relationship Management principles.
    • Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify and implement value enhancement and service improvement initiatives.
  • Procurement Excellence
    • Assess and refine Procurement Ways of Working to enhance efficiency and improve user experience by leveraging existing and new tools.
    • Implement best practices and innovative technology solutions to streamline procurement operations and drive continuous improvement.
  • Procurement Program Implementation:
    • Lead the development and execution of procurement programs implementation plans, outline objectives, timelines, and key performance indicators.
    • Ensure alignment with organizational goals, providing guidance during the execution and monitoring progress to address challenges.
  • Opportunity Identification:
    • Utilize data analytics and stakeholder insights to develop a pipeline of strategic opportunities, supporting savings forecasting and prioritization analysis.
    • Analyze spend data to uncover cost-saving opportunities and strategic advantages.
  • Strategic Planning and Development:
    • Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies for indirect categories that align with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
    • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, ensuring strategies are proactive and data driven.
    • Demonstrate strategic thought leadership in advancing Procurement strategies across indirect categories, including Travel, Contingent Labor, Professional Services, Consulting, and People & Culture.
    • Develop and lead the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, including RFIs, RFPs, competitive bidding processes, service provider selection, and negotiations for price, terms, and conditions in partnership with internal stakeholders and Legal.
    • Perform financial analysis and risk assessments to recommend optimal solutions that balance business requirements, value delivery, risk mitigation, and supplier performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and identify improvement opportunities for improvement.
    • Conduct training sessions on procurement processes and tools to enhance team engagement and operational efficiency.
    • Interact effectively with team members at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership across multiple functions, to influence business direction and align resources outside the direct area of responsibility.
    • Partner with Procurement Managers across categories to support and negotiate complex contracts where business needs intersect, applying procurement expertise to deliver results and advance category strategies.
    • Partner with business stakeholders, Legal, and suppliers to develop and manage master service agreements, end-user license agreements, statements of work, and service level agreements.
    • Support issue resolution creatively while balancing stakeholder needs, supplier performance, policy requirements, and business continuity.
    • Drive compliance with preferred suppliers, procurement policies, and established procedures to strengthen governance and maximize value realization.
  • Leadership:
    • Lead project teams and mentor procurement professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and high performance.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and drive individual growth.

What you bring to the table (must have) …
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 years in procurement, supply chain management and/or relevant SG&A experience
  • Travel: Able to travel 5-10% (mainly domestic) for manufacturing site and supplier visit

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; Master’s degree
  • 2 years’ experience in a focusing on strategic vendor management and process improvement.
  • Proven ability to design and implement procurement initiatives that drive transformation and process improvements.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing key supplier accounts and fostering strategic partnerships.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SAP, Ariba, and Power BI preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority and build robust internal and external relationships
Compensation and Benefits:

The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between

$110,700-$152,200

Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
