Job summary

Toppers Pizza is seeking a motivated Manager in Training (MIT) to join our team. This hands-on leadership role develops the candidate to eventually run a store, lead operations, and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will train, coach, and supervise team members, manage daily store operations from opening to closing, and ensure food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction while meeting business goals. Nights, weekends, and holidays required.

Toppers Pizza is looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Manager in Training (MIT) to join our team. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, leading a team, providing excellent customer service, and making sure the store operates efficiently.The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, takes pride in the quality of our food and service, and is willing to jump in wherever needed. This position will be responsible for helping manage the day-to-day operation of the store while developing the skills needed to successfully lead a Toppers Pizza location.Prior experience in one of the following roles or at one of the following brands is highly desirable: General Manager, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager, shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead or other restaurant leadership job at Chick-fil-A, Dominos, Pizza Hut, Chipotle, Mc Donalds, Starbucks

Requirements/Responsibilities

• Lead by example and maintain a positive, productive work environment.
• Train, coach, and develop team members to meet Toppers Pizza standards.
• Help create employee schedules and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Hold team members accountable for attendance, performance, cleanliness, and customer service.

Store Operations

• Oversee daily store operations and ensure company standards are consistently followed.
• Ensure orders are prepared accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Monitor food quality, portioning, presentation, and freshness.
• Help manage inventory, food ordering, receiving, and proper product rotation.
• Follow and enforce food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, and properly maintained.
• Complete opening and closing procedures accurately.
• Help monitor labor, food costs, waste, and overall store performance.

Customer Service

• Provide outstanding customer service and create a positive experience for every guest.
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints professionally.
• Resolve issues quickly while protecting the customer relationship and the interests of the business.
• Ensure phone, online, carryout, and delivery orders are handled accurately and efficiently.

Food Preparation

• Be willing and able to work alongside the team in all areas of the store.
• Assist with making fresh dough daily.
• Complete food prep and maintain proper food storage.
• Make, cut, box, and prepare pizzas and other menu items according to Toppers standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and store.

Delivery & Driver Operations

• Help oversee delivery operations and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.
• Ensure drivers follow safe driving and delivery procedures.
• Monitor delivery times and help improve delivery efficiency.

Marketing & Sales

• Participate in local store marketing and promotional activities.
• Help build relationships within the local community.
• Promote Toppers Pizza products, specials, and promotions.
• Look for opportunities to increase sales and build repeat business.

Job Requirements

• Previous restaurant, retail, hospitality, or leadership experience preferred.
• Previous management experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and make good decisions under pressure.
• Strong customer-service skills.
• Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical restaurant duties.
• Ability to lift and carry items as needed for normal restaurant operations.
• Must be willing to work hands‑on in every area of the store.
