    • Assembly of aluminum storm doors and windows.
    • Quality control inspections.
    • Material handling and inventory management.
    • Basic equipment maintenance.
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of Door Tech’s operational processes.
Year 2: Shipping Supervisor/Dispatch:

  • Oversee and coordinate daily shipping and dispatch operations.
  • Supervise a team of employees, manage schedules, and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels to ensure order accuracy.
  • Operate a 26-foot box truck as part of shipping logistics.

Year 3: General Manager in Training (Acquired Company):

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of the operations within a newly acquired company.
  • Assist in the integration of the company into Door Tech’s operational and cultural framework.
  • Collaborate with existing teams to improve efficiency and profitability.
  • Prepare for full leadership responsibilities.

Years 4-5: General Manager Role:

  • Assume the role of GM for the acquired company, overseeing all aspects of operations.
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive growth and long-term success.
  • Take full ownership of financial performance, staff development, and customer satisfaction.

Learning Modules (Concurrent With Work Assignments)

  • The Door Tech Way/Culture: Understand the company’s mission, values, and operational standards.
  • Business/Accounting Basics: Learn the fundamentals of budgeting, payroll, and cost management.
  • Business Strategy: Develop skills in competitive analysis, pricing strategies, and long-term planning.
  • Sales: Build expertise in customer relationship management and negotiation.
  • Business Acquisition: Learn the steps of evaluating and integrating acquired businesses.
  • Leadership Development: Enhance team management, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Capability to operate production equipment and tools.
  • Training and ability to safely operate and drive a 26-foot box truck as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership potential and a desire to grow within the company.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a dynamic environment with diverse responsibilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications and relevant tools, including Excel, CRMs, and other business software.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain any necessary certifications for truck operation.
