Job summary

Weidner Apartment Homes in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Manager in Training to learn all aspects of operating a multi-million dollar asset and lead a team toward financial success. The MIT will gain experience in budgeting, leasing, marketing, payroll, vendor management, and property improvements while supporting residents, associates, and community performance.

This role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 7+ years management, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and willingness to learn Yardi/Paycom;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in property management or related field, or 7+ years of management experience.
  • Complete Manager in Training curriculum within 12 months.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with motivation to learn and contribute daily.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Yardi and Paycom experience preferred; willing to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

  • Learn to consistently meet monthly income and expense budgets for the community.
  • Assist with pre-move out inspections and timely make-readies.
  • Schedule timely completion of make-readies and maintenance/service requests.
  • Review monthly financial performance reports and set strategy for budget and revenue management.
  • Perform market analysis and implement leasing strategies daily.
  • Prepare and sign payroll records and manage overtime.
  • Participate in recruiting and mentoring associates; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Prioritize leasing for all office staff and conduct tours as needed.
  • Manage lease renewals to promote resident retention.
  • Oversee deposit accounting and vendor relationships.
  • Ensure pool/spa maintenance is completed daily and oversee property improvements.

Position Summary:As a Manager in Training (MIT), you are a driven individual with the willingness to learn all aspects of operating and maintaining a valuable multi-million dollar asset in a fast-tracked approach. This role is responsible for learning and demonstrating skills needed to successfully lead a team and asset to financial success. A successful Manager in Training is able to manage their time effectively, is detail oriented, a trustworthy team player, and takes pride in their work.
