Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Manager in Charge (MIC) to monitor Partner performance, address safety issues, and oversee gas and floor maintenance where needed. The MIC will drive toward store goals with a focus on quality and customer service.

The role requires leadership experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail setting. Training through H-E-B School of Retail Management is included upon hire.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in retail management.
• H-E-B School of Retail Management training program is required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Partner performance and address safety issues in absence of Store Director.
• Oversee Gas Station and floor maintenance in stores without an Operations Store Leader.
• Ensure SOP compliance across departments and maintain product integrity.
• Maintain facilities and equipment in good repair; manage budget, cost, and shrink.

For Stores not assigned an Operations Store Leader, the MIC is also responsible for overseeing the Gas Station and floor maintenance processes of the store. • Spends majority of time using independent judgement in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommending such decisions, including product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding, or otherwise engaging in resolving Partner-related matters.

• Ensures execution of Gas Station / floor maintenance processes (in Stores not assigned an Operations Store Leader)
