Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Radiology Services leader in Martinsburg, WV to oversee section operations, budget, payroll, and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities

  • Manage section operations, budget, payroll, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
  • Recommend and implement equipment, product, and system improvements.
  • Recruit, supervise, schedule, and evaluate staff.
  • Ensure compliance with credentials, competencies, and performance standards.
  • Deliver high-quality imaging services and patient care; lead QA, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain regulatory, accreditation, and licensing compliance.
  • Support clinical education programs and student integration.
  • Maintain professional, technical, and managerial competence through CE.
  • Build collaborative relationships with physicians and hospital staff.
  • Address customer service concerns and participate in committees.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education, certification, and/or licensure: 1. Must possess current licensure as required by state board where services will be provided: OH: Current license through the Ohio Board of Radiology WV: Current license through the West Virginia Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Technology Board PA: No state license is required
  • 2. Registered in imaging modality through ONE of the following boards: American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
  • 3. Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
EXPERIENCE
  • 1. Five (5) years of clinical experience in the radiologic sciences with two (2) years of supervisory experience.

  • 1. Bachelor's degree.
CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • 1. In collaboration with Leadership, manages section operations, budget, payroll, inventory, and equipment maintenance oversight to ensure efficient, cost-effective service delivery.
  • 2. Recommends and implements equipment, product, and system improvements in alignment with departmental goals.
  • 3. Recruits, supervises, schedules, and evaluates technical and support staff.
  • 4. Ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures, including staff maintenance of required credentials, competencies, and performance standards.
  • 5. Ensures delivery of high-quality imaging services and patient care; Leads quality assurance, audit, and corrective action initiatives.
  • 6. Maintains compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and licensing standards.
  • 7. Supports clinical education programs and integration of students into the clinical environment.
  • 8. Maintains professional, technical, and managerial competence through continuing education and professional involvement.
  • 9. Builds collaborative relationships with physicians, medical physics, hospital departments, and system partners.
  • 10. Addresses customer service concerns and participates in committees and performance improvement initiatives.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • 1. Ability to differentiate various shades of gray as depicted on a black and white monitor or photograph.
  • 2. Stand and walk for up to 8 hours a day.
  • 3. Lift, push and pull up to 10 pounds of weight.
  • 4. Carry items of up to 20 pounds.
