Job summary

Aeva is seeking a Manager, Laser NPI in Mountain View to own design, manufacture, integration, validation, and qualification of lasers and amplifiers across business verticals. You will lead a team through development to production and develop engineering requirements ensuring performance, yield, and cost targets.

This role requires 5+ years leading teams, cross-functional collaboration, and strong communication to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with leading teams and delivering cutting edge products.
• Demonstrated experience with 4 or more of the following - NPI strategy, IIIV design, IIIV process, vendor management, qualification/reliability, validation
• Experience working cross-functionally to enable data-driven decision making
• Strong presentation, communication skills, and results oriented
• Experience with working with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting edge products

Responsibilities

• Own roadmap, execution, validation, and delivery for cutting edge laser and amplifier products across<br/>business verticals
• Lead a team of engineers to transition lasers and amplifiers from development to production
• Develop engineering requirement documents for a variety of product lines to ensure devices meet<br/>required performance, yield, and cost metrics
• Lead integration of IIIV devices into product by working across teams to develop packaging and<br/>integration based on BKM
• Lead design for performance to specs, manufacturing, reliability, test - DFx methodologies
• Own the detailed characterization of IIIV devices to provide iterative design feedback
• Design and develop integrated multi-wavelength lasers for various applications
• Own definition of test strategy & oversee implementation for validation, reliability, NPI, and<br/>production
• Define lot strategy and splits to improve performance of base designs developed in R&D
• Own the NPI and transition to high volume production of cutting edge IIIV device with high yield and<br/>low cost
• Work with internal and external design development teams to develop devices that meet required<br/>product specifications

Salary pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to change in the future.
