Commerce Bank is seeking a highly experienced Facilities Leader to oversee operations across multiple regions from its Clayton, MO location. The role drives maintenance programs, budgets, and vendor partnerships for branch and ATM sites.

The position requires 8+ years in property management and 4+ years in leadership, with strong skills in project and budget management, and a track record of coordinating multi-site facilities operations.

Compensation Range

Annual Salary: $105,000.00 - $123,500.00 (Amount based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.)

About This Job

The main purpose of this job is to oversee all operations of the facilities management functions across multiple regions

Essential Functions

• Plan, direct, and manage the activities of Facilities Managers and/or Maintenance Technicians for multiple regions
• Manage other leadership personnel/supervisors as assigned
• Oversee the activities of all contracted personnel and outside service providers
• Coordinate bidding, contracting, and scheduling for routine maintenance and capital replacement projects at branch and ATM locations
• Oversee all emergency repairs for branch and ATM locations
• Oversee third-party property management contracts for large tenant buildings
• Prepare and manage to annual expense and capital budgets for all locations managed
• Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and preventive maintenance plans for all areas of responsibility
• Develop and maintain accurate physical data for all locations managed
• Complete comprehensive facility assessments providing feedback to respective Facilities Manager
• Provide thought leadership and guidance while leading the monthly leadership team meeting
• Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs
• Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required
• Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively
• Support budget management, planning and expenditure
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Advanced knowledge of the building operating systems field, including knowledge of best practices
• Strong problem-recognition/problem-solving skills
• Cultivate strategic relationships with key internal stakeholders, influencing cross-functional collaboration and driving alignment on enterprise-wide initiative
• Ability to manage/lead multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Ability to be on call 24x7.

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
• Advanced level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Master’s degree preferred
• 8+ years property management experience required
• 4+ years management experience required
• project management, vendor management, and budget management experience preferred
• BOMA certifications preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $105,000 to $123,500 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
