Elevance Health is seeking a Manager I Government Business Division (GBD) Special Programs Manager, Care Manager in North Carolina. This field-based role requires travel to client sites with occasional office attendance for meetings and training, aligning with our hybrid work policy.

The position leads direct supervision of CFSP Care Managers, oversees risk-based visits, and ensures compliance, documentation quality, and timely care planning for high-risk members.

Qualifications

Manager I Government Business Division (GBD) Special Programs Manager, Care Manager

Location: North Carolina

This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field, traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility, responsiveness to client needs, and direct, hands-on engagement.

The Manager I Government Business Division (GBD) Special Programs Manager, Care Manager will be responsible for providing direct operational and clinical supervision of Children and Family Specialty Plan (CFSP). Care Managers will also be responsible for emergency services for children and youth with significant medical, behavioral health, placement, and social complexity.

Minimum Requirements

• Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years' experience in a related field, including minimum of 1 year leadership/management experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences

• Knowledge of resources, supports, services and opportunities required for safe community living for populations receiving in-reach and transition services, including LTSS, Behavioral Health,therapeutic, and physical health services strongly preferred.
• Experience working with Children, Youth, and Families who are being served by Local Departments of Social Services through Foster Care and Adoptive Assistance programs is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of management/supervisor experience (with direct reports) strongly preferred.
• Service delivery coordination, discharge planning or behavioral health experience in a managed care setting strongly preferred.
