Under the general direction of the Executive Officer for the Board, the Manager I manages the Administrative Division and has overall responsibility for managing a wide variety of administrative operations and agency-wide support in the areas of Board meeting logistics, personnel management, business services, fee collection, land management, logistics, budgeting, and contract management to meet existing and future Legislative mandates governing the Board’s operations. This position required that the incumbent work cooperatively with others and maintain consistent, regular, and predictable attendance.
The Manager I will be a key member of the Executive Management team of the Board, and will provide leadership of the Administrative Division and support for the Board’s other Divisions, including managing the operating budget, the budget change proposal process, contracting, human resources, legislative tracking, fee collection, and grant program development. The Manager I is also responsible for development of State Leadership and Accountability plans and reporting, Continuity of Operations planning, and other mandated organizational reporting. The Manager I will oversee the most complex, confidential, and sensitive administrative matters and will advise the Executive Officer and management team on these matters. The Manager I is also expected to become familiar with and evaluate work processes and develop and lead adoption of revised processes to make them more efficient while still meeting program requirements.
