HD Supply seeks a strategic HR Manager to lead HR at the Groveport, OH distribution center and assist four other locations. You will drive workforce planning, leadership development, and HR guidance in a fast-paced environment.

The role partners with staffing, performance management, and policy integration, including acquisitions. You will influence leaders, manage employee relations, and ensure effective HR operations across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years HR experience including HRBP or HR Manager roles.

Job description

We're seeking a strategic HR Manager with proven experience supporting warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain operations. This individual will drive workforce planning initiatives, develop leadership capability, and provide HR guidance within a fast-paced, operationally complex environment. The role serves as the primary HR leader for our Groveport, OH distribution center while providing support to 4 additional locations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including experience as an HR Business Partner or HR Manager.
• Proven ability to influence, coach, and advise leaders on employee relations, talent management, and organizational effectiveness.
• Experience supporting both hourly and salaried associate population within a Distribution, Manufacturing, Logistics or similar environment.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace investigations.
• Ability to work independently and manage HR priorities across multiple locations and business functions.
• Experience utilizing HRIS and workforce management systems (Workday, Kronos, UKG)

Job Summary

Implement HR programs and policies including staffing, compensation, benefits, associate relations, and learning. Collects and analyzes HR data and makes recommendations to management. Responsible for communicating programs to the area of responsibility.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Partner with Staffing Department on business employment needs, including recruiting for functional areas of the business.
• Working directly with business leadership and department management on the development and facilitation of the individual and divisional performance improvement
• Responsible for the effective integration of HR policies and procedures during Acquisitions.
• Build Internal partnerships to aid in the resolution of associate relations issues.
• Embrace and communicate vision of the organization and group to align workforce
• Works in conjunction with business leadership to develop and implement performance management plans.
• Assess and deliver training and development to limit legal exposure.
• Support and implement HR policies within the business by acting as the primary point of contact between associates and management.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
