Job summary

Royal Caribbean Group in Florida is seeking a Manager, HF&B Procurement to lead procurement strategy, supplier negotiations, and contract management for hotel, food & beverage categories across operations.

You will manage a team, develop cost-of-ownership models, drive value, ensure on-time delivery, and collaborate with brand operations to optimize sourcing. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business admin or related field; international equivalent preferred.
• 3-5 years managerial experience in cruise line, supply chain, or procurement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong negotiation and cost-analysis capabilities.
• Excellent communication with senior stakeholders.
• Knowledge of contracts and procurement processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

What does the Supply Chain and Operations Team do?

The Supply Chain and Operations Team at Royal Caribbean Group ensures the reliable flow of goods, services, and operational support across ships, destinations, and shoreside teams. The team oversees sourcing, procurement, logistics, inventory, supplier partnerships, and process execution, partnering cross-functionally to drive efficiency, manage risk, maintain service levels, and support exceptional guest and crew experiences worldwide.

How you can make an impact:

The Manager, HF&B Procurement, is responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the staff engaged in fulfilling the goals and objectives of the Procurement function. The Manager is responsible for the direct management of categories assigned, including development of procurement strategy and objectives in line with Company Brand requirements. The role is responsible for the sourcing, negotiation, and contracting of all products in the assigned categories.

What your day-to-day will look like:

• Develops and manages an efficient total cost of ownership model which considers many complex variables including but not limited to price, freight, holding cost, currency, and supply volatility.
• Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Plans, organizes, and controls the activities related to the assigned procurement function.
• Organizes, manages, and directs the work of the employees in the assigned procurement function, overseeing the assignment of duties, responsibilities, and workstations to employees.
• Manages the sourcing, quality control and supplier management for all products in the assigned categories. Manages the negotiation of all components of cost including price, freight, payment terms, and delivery terms.
• Lead value creation initiatives in the assigned categories. Collaborate with RCG Brand Operations to identify and implement sourcing opportunities on new and existing products. Analyze the data and present findings to Supply Chain and Brand Ops leadership.
• Evaluate and measure new and existing suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery performance, inventory level, and invoicing policies are maintained. Periodically conduct major supplier reviews.
• Develops a system to evaluate vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and procurement techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
• Manage supplier invoicing and statement reconciliation, including resolution of invoices in dispute (IID’s). Follow up with suppliers with recurring invoices in dispute to conduct root cause analysis and establish plans for improvement.
• Prepares and issues Purchase Orders and Change Notices as needed.
• Prepares and reviews contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.
• Assigns procurement requests to the appropriate personnel.

How to achieve success:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field (or the international equivalent) and/or relevant work experience preferred.
• 3-5 Years Managerial experience in a cruise line, supply chain, or procurement related function.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities; able to quickly prioritize work for maximum impact.
• Ability to manage the financial aspects of the assigned procurement function, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost efficiencies.
• Leads development of procurement and negotiation strategy based on multiple and often complex variables. Negotiates price, availability, transportation, and delivery schedule.
• Understanding of contract terms and conditions and skilled in uniform commercial code.
• Strong in analysis, forecasting, problem solving and quality improvement in the execution of strategies. Ensures total costs are identified and optimized throughout the entire procurement process.
• High degree of skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and be able to work effectively with all senior levels of operational personnel (shipboard and shore side).
• Ability to write reports business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the public.
• Ability to manage staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work. Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment.
