Royal Caribbean Group's Supply Chain Team is seeking a Lead, Technical Procurement for our Miami-based operations. The role leads sourcing strategies for marine categories, drives cost optimization, ensures supplier compliance, and partners with technical and operations teams to support fleet needs.

You will mentor analysts, develop procurement analytics, and use data-driven insights to improve performance, sustainability, and risk management across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, marine engineering, or related field required.
• Professional certifications in procurement (CPSM/CIPS) preferred.
• 5–7 years of procurement experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
• Experience in marine or maritime operations strongly preferred.

The Royal Caribbean Group’s Supply Chain Team has an exciting career opportunity for a full time Lead, Technical Procurement reporting to the Senior Manager, Technical Procurement.

This position is onsite and based in 100 Biscayne Blvd .

Position Summary

The Team Lead, Marine Procurement oversees sourcing and purchasing strategies for marine-related categories to support operational excellence across the fleet. This role ensures cost optimization, supplier compliance, and timely delivery of goods and services, while driving process improvements and supporting sustainability objectives. The Team Lead provides guidance and mentorship to procurement analysts and specialists. In addition, this role is responsible for developing procurement analytics, identifying insights and performance opportunities, and leveraging data-driven decision-making to drive continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and overall procurement performance across the organization.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Leadsdaily procurement activities for marine categories, ensuring adherence to company policies, governance requirements, and industry regulations.
• Developcategory and sourcing strategies that optimize total cost of ownership while maintaining quality, reliability, and service standards.
• Managessupplier relationships to ensure compliance, value delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Implementrisk mitigation strategies and supply continuity plans to support critical marine operations and minimize business disruption.
• Coordinatescross-functional efforts with technical, marine, operational, and supply chain stakeholders to align procurement activities with business objectives.
• Develops and maintainsprocurement analytics, dashboards, and performance metrics to provide actionable insights, measure category performance, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Drivesprocurement performance management by establishing, tracking, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends, gaps, and opportunities to improve spending, supplier performance, service levels, and operational efficiency.
• Identifies and leadscontinuous improvement initiatives that enhance procurement processes, increase productivity, reduce costs, and deliver measurable business value.
• Ensuresdata integrity across procurement systems and reporting tools while leveraging analytics to support strategic planning, forecasting, and business reviews.
• Presentsperformance results, insights, and recommendations to leadership, translating complex data into actionable strategies that support organizational goals.
• Mentors’procurement analysts and specialists, fostering a high-performance, collaborative environment focused on accountability, professional development, and results.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or related field required.
• Professional certifications in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) preferred.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of procurement experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience in marine, technical supply chain, or maritime operations are strongly preferred.

Technical/Functional Skills

• Proven ability to negotiate complex contracts and manage supplier performance.
• Strong understanding of international logistics, maritime compliance, and procurement best practices.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement tools; advanced MS Excel skills.
• Demonstrates strategic thinking with an ability to translate goals into actionable results.
