Job Requirements
  • 1) Overall: This position supports the compass points of safety, quality, experience, and value. Safety - promotes a high-quality and reliable pharmacist practice model that ensures adequate staffing, education and training, and execution of clinical pharmacy programs. Quality - effectively uses strategy to develop high-impact goals that produce results that are aligned with organizational priorities. This includes regularly tracking progress and using the DMS system to continually improve. Experience - promotes engagement with direct reports. Uses principles of shared governance to elicit feedback. Implements change in a manner that is inclusive. Value - promotes and manages labor and drug spend strategies to obtain the most value possible for the organization. Also drives high value care with transitions of care that reduce cost to the organization and optimize
  • 2) Clinical Pharmacy Program Oversight: Leads the planning, development, and implementation of staffing and service models that advance the practice of pharmacy and the care of our patients at Baystate while working to do so at an affordable cost. Ensures staff engagement in the planning processes and, collaborates regularly and communicates frequently with Pharmacy Leadership.
  • 3) Transitions of Care Program Oversight: Leads and supervises the staff in programs associated with transitions of care, including medication history. Devotes the necessary time to ensure staff are performing consistently in their roles and that the service is optimized. Coordinates with other pharmacy leaders on staff scheduling and works with the customers to ensure a high level of service and productivity.
  • 4) Practice Leadership: Promotes advancement of care within the department. This may include, but is not limited to, service on and leadership of various committees related to their practice. This also includes mentorship of other pharmacy staff.
Preferred Education

Post-Grad training or equivalent experience

Minimally Required Experience

3 years leadership 5 years of preceptor/educator experience

  • Education: Bachelors Degree (Required)
  • Certifications: Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist - PCPS, Licensed Pharmacist - Other

The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typicaly, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

  • Minimum: $158,371.00
  • Midpoint: $182,041.00
  • Maximum: $215,342.00
