Overview

The Healthcare Consulting Reimbursement team delivers specialized consulting services to support Graduate Medical Education (GME) programs. We provide strategic planning, implementation, and ongoing operations support, specializing in Medicare GME reimbursement, including Direct GME (DGME) and Indirect Medical Education (IME). Our team partners with sponsoring institutions and teaching hospitals to develop GME program strategies, guide new program development and expansion, and operationalize compliant, sustainable processes. Through resident cap management, program structuring, cost reporting, and regulatory compliance, we leverage advanced analytics and extensive regulatory experience to optimize financial performance and strengthen operational efficiency for long‑term GME success.

What You Will Do

• Lead and support ACGME accreditation and program application processes by driving key phases, including application preparation, site visit coordination, and ongoing documentation activities. Help interpret ACGME requirements, develop timelines, and organize materials to facilitate efficient accreditation efforts.
• Manage new residency program development—planning, documentation, accreditation readiness—by supporting health systems with feasibility inputs, program materials, and readiness assessments to prepare for submission and review.
• Coordinate GME organizational structure initiatives for health systems by assessing existing governance and operational models and developing recommendations aligned with organizational priorities. Design frameworks, reporting approaches, and coordination processes to enhance program organization and consistency.
• Provide operational coordination and project management support for residency programs, assisting with day‑to‑day initiatives such as timeline tracking, stakeholder coordination, and deliverable management to support efficient program operations.
• Serve as a hands‑on GME operations resource for client engagements, providing day‑to‑day support for client GME operations and working closely with program administration to resolve operational needs and support ongoing initiatives.
• Align GME program operations with Medicare reimbursement objectives by supporting resident FTE tracking, cost reporting inputs, and cap optimization considerations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• 5+ years of experience in GME operations or administration
• Demonstrated experience leading ACGME accreditation and program development efforts
• Strong understanding of GME organizational structures within health systems
• Experience managing projects and collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders
• Working knowledge of GME finance
• Experience with residency management software platform

Preferred Qualifications

• TACGME certification
• Prior consulting or advisory experience
