Qualifications

Job description

***The location for this position is virtual/remote***

This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions! As a USA Outbound Group Sales Manager - WALDORF ASTORIA RIVIERA MAYA, you will support areas that are core to Hilton's "commercial engine" and are vital for Hilton's profitable growth. Reporting to the Director of Group Sales on property, you will work on projects to retain existing clients and secure new Group Sales business for the hotel.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is vital, and here are some of the fundamental duties that make your work unique:

What your day-to-day will be like:
Customer and Account Management:
  • Engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business.
  • Develop and execute plans for outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.
  • Create and communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual business plans for designated markets.
  • Maintain a pipeline of opportunities aligned with business objectives.
  • Represent the hotel in customer interactions, including proposals and contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections tailored to customer needs.
  • Manage customer specifications and update account information in Delphi FDC system.
Prospecting:
  • Research and generate new leads through database research and proactive sales efforts.
  • Develop plans to increase market share from competitors.
  • Engage in outside sales to uncover needs, build relationships, and win new business.
Negotiations:
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers and intermediaries.
  • Provide solutions that meet hotel financial goals and strengthen customer relationships.
  • Coordinate with Hilton Worldwide Sales and Legal teams for contracts.
Collaboration:

You will work with in-house hotel-based sales teams, including Group Sales Executives, ADOS, Catering Directors, and others, as well as regional teams like Directors of Sales and Area VPs.

Projects:
  • Attend industry events and tradeshows worldwide; a valid passport is required.
  • Develop market segment strategies and foster new customer relationships.
  • Analyze market trends and implement marketing initiatives to maximize revenue.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
Minimum qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of experience in Hotel Group Sales.
  • Three (3) years specifically in luxury Hotel Group Sales.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40% internationally.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
