***The location for this position is virtual/remote***

This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's sales, revenue management, call center, and analytics functions! As a USA Outbound Group Sales Manager - WALDORF ASTORIA RIVIERA MAYA, you will support areas which are at the core of Hilton's "commercial engine" and are important to Hilton's ability to achieve profitable growth. On the Sales team reporting to the Director of Group Sales on property, you will work on projects to retain existing clients and secure new Group Sales business for the hotel.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:
Customer and Account Management:
  • Actively engage with Hilton Worldwide Sales, Convention Bureau, and Intermediaries to retain existing customers and secure new business for the hotel.
  • Develop and execute plans to engage in outside sales calls, industry tradeshows, and customer events.
  • Develop, execute, and communicate a monthly, quarterly, and annual business plan for a designated market.
  • Maintain pipeline of business opportunities that will meet the short- and long-term business objectives for the designated market.
  • Represent hotel in all interactions dealing with their customers relative to sales, including creating business proposals and executing contracts.
  • Conduct site inspections through storytelling with prospective and existing customers based on their individual needs.
  • Coordinate customer specifications (including room, food and beverage, and meeting space requirements) via identified lead management system. Enter and maintain pertinent account and booking information in Delphi FDC in accordance with defined standards.
Prospecting:
  • Research, solicit, and generate new leads for business opportunities through database research and proactive sales efforts, maximizing new room revenue and meet and exceed lead generation goals.
  • Create and execute plans to shift share from competitors.
  • Engage in outside sales activities to uncover needs, build relationships, and win new business.
Negotiations:
  • Negotiate contracts and commission agreements with end user customers and intermediaries.
  • Provide solutions that achieve and protect the financial goals of the hotel while strengthening customer relationships.
  • Engage Hilton Worldwide Sales and Hilton Legal to support the contracting process when needed.
How you will collaborate with others:

You will work with a team of in-house hotel-based Group Sales Executives, ADOS, Director of Catering, Events Managers, Site Inspection Manager, and other related departments. You will also interact with the regional team including Regional Directors of Sales, Area Vice-President of Operations, and others.

What projects you will take ownership of:
  • Attend industry events and tradeshows both domestic and international. A valid Passport will be necessary for this purpose.
  • Represent the hotel in developing market segments and new customer relationships while maintaining existing relations with assigned accounts. Maximize revenue and profitability for all hotel revenue streams.
  • Develop a business strategy by analyzing hotel and market trends, implementing marketing initiatives to maximize lead revenue to meet and exceed sales goals.
WHY YOU'LL BE A GREAT FIT
Minimum qualifications:
  • Five (5) years of work experience in Hotel Group Sales
  • Three (3) years of work experience in luxury Hotel Group Sales
  • Travel up to 40% internationally
Useful additional qualifications:
  • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's Degree

The annual salary range for this role is $70,000 - $100,000, based on experience and location. Eligible for participation in the Hilton Annual Incentive (Bonus) Plan.
