Job summary

SB Energy seeks a Manager, Grid Integration in Denver to drive interconnection, transmission, and commissioning for large-load/data center projects within PJM and MISO regions.

You will apply power system tools, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while traveling up to 20% of the time. A strong background in electrical engineering and utilities is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, grid integration, or renewable energy development.
• Working knowledge of PJM & MISO generator and large-load interconnection processes.
• Experience with power system software such as PSS/E, PSLF, TARA, or PowerWorld.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for project needs.

Job description

Basic Function: The Manager, Grid Integration will support the interconnection, transmission, and commissioning activities for large-load (data center) projects and utility-scale generation across the Eastern Interconnection primarily in PJM & MISO.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, grid integration, utility engineering, or renewable energy development.
• Working knowledge of PJM & MISO generator and/or large-load interconnection processes.
• Understanding of transmission planning concepts and power system fundamentals.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a collaborative environment.
• Experience with PJM & MISO protocols and market operations.
• Familiarity with FERC interconnection processes.
• Experience with power system software such as PSS®E, PSLF, TARA, or PowerWorld.
• Exposure to Python, SQL, or data analytics tools.
• Experience supporting utility-scale renewable energy, battery storage, or data center projects.
• The position requires up to 20% domestic travel.

• Base Pay - $140,000 - $165000 The pay range mentioned above is a guideline. We tailor each offer based on your unique skills, experience, location, and market benchmarks—while ensuring internal parity across our teams. The compensation range provided reflects base pay.
