Job summary

Penguin Random House is seeking a Global Technology Program Manager to shape and support its Global Technology organization. You will translate vision into actionable priorities, coordinate across regions, and craft executive communications, partnering with the Global CIO Office to drive change and deliver measurable progress.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and collaboration across time zones, with a focus on AI, data, automation, and enterprise platforms.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, technology, consulting, business operations, strategic projects, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to engage credibly with technology leaders and quickly learn unfamiliar topics.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, able to craft executive-ready materials.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, handling multiple priorities and stakeholders.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic, capable of driving work forward with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Translate the Global Technology vision into clear priorities, initiatives, and milestones.
  • Coordinate high-priority initiatives across a complex, global organization and translate objectives into structured plans.
  • Draft clear, concise, executive communications and presentations for senior leadership.
  • Work with the Global CIO Office to define agendas, prepare recommendations, and ensure follow-through.
  • Support change management with HR to help teams adapt to new structures and ways of working.

Technology plays a critical role across Penguin Random House:powering the systems behind our books, supporting ourauthorsandbooksellers,strengtheningour warehouses and supply chains, andhelpingus connect with readers in new and meaningful ways.

TheProgramManager willwork closely with the GlobalCIOOffice and senior stakeholders across PRH to help translate this vision into action.TheProgramManager willreport to theSeniorDirector,GlobalStrategyandbepart of theGlobal Strategyteam,where each memberfocuseson interdisciplinary projects andinitiativesacross all regions.

WhatYou’llDo
  • Partner with Global Technology leadership totranslate the Global Technology vision into clear priorities, initiatives, and measures of progress.
  • Coordinate and trackhigh-priority initiatives across a complex, global organizationand translate broadobjectivesinto structured workplans, milestones, decisions, and next steps.
  • Draft clear, concise, and compelling communications for senior leadership, including executive presentations, strategic updates, organizational communications, briefing materials, and talking points.
  • Work withthe Global CIO Officeto define agendas, prepare recommendations, document decisions, and ensure follow-through.
  • Support change management as the Global Technology organization continues to evolve,partnering with HR to helpteams understand new structures, responsibilities, and ways of working.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in strategy, technology, consulting, business operations, strategic projects, ora related field.
  • Strong understanding of technology organizations and concepts, with the ability to engage credibly with technology leaders and quickly learn unfamiliar technical topics.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, withdemonstratedability to turn complex or ambiguous information into clear, concise, executive-ready communications and presentations.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, including the ability to structure ambiguous questions and develop practical paths forward.
  • Ability tooperateeffectively in a complex and changing organization, balancing longer-term strategicobjectiveswith immediate priorities.
  • Collaborative and diplomatic, while alsocomfortableproactively driving work forward and following up with senior stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a global environmentand collaborating across time zones.
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies and how they can enable business transformation, particularly AI, data, automation, enterprise platforms, and technology-enabled process change.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies or in a globalorganization is a plus.
  • Publishing or media experience is helpful but notrequired.
  • Strongproficiencyin PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

The Penguin Random House national headquarters is located in New York City. Thisisa hybridrole based in New YorkCityand we are a team that works collaboratively across multiple geographies.

The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $100,000.All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.

Penguin Random House job postings include a good faith compensation range for each open position. The salary range listed is specific to each particular open position and takes into account various factors including the specifics of the individual role, and candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
