Penguin Random House is seeking an Associate Director, Global Strategy, SAP Program Manager to coordinate a global SAP S/4HANA transformation. You will align business, technology, finance, and external partners to ensure priorities, decisions, and risks are transparent and moving forward.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, transformation, strategy, consulting, or related field.
  • Experience on ERP/SAP S/4HANA, finance, technology, or business transformation is strongly preferred.
  • Strong program management skills with ability to move between the big picture and detailed execution.
  • Executive communication skills for senior leadership; concise and clear messages.
  • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience working across global organizations and with external partners.
  • Experience with Power BI, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience in publishing or media is a plus.

Job Description

Penguin Random House is undertaking a global SAP S/4HANA transformation, bringing together teams across markets, functions, and geographies to modernize our technology landscape.

We are looking for an Associate Director, Global Strategy, SAP Program Manager to play a central role in coordinating this global transformation. Reporting to Senior Director, Global Strategy, this role will work across global business, technology, finance stakeholders, and external consulting partners to ensure the program remains aligned on priorities, decisions, dependencies, risks, and outcomes. They will provide the structure and transparency needed to help global leadership make decisions and keep a complex, multi-year transformation moving forward.

The ideal candidate combines strong program management skills with strategic thinking, executive communication, and the ability to operate effectively across senior stakeholders.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the Global SAP program and transformation, helping to establish the governance, processes, and management cadence required to successfully execute the program.
  • Maintain an integrated view of global program milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, and key decisions across workstreams.
  • Develop clear, concise executive communications that synthesize complex program information into the decisions, risks, trade-offs, and actions that matter most.
  • Drive cross-functional coordination across regions and business, technology, finance, data, change management, and other program workstreams.
  • Serve as a primary coordination point between the regional SAP programs and the broader global transformation.
  • Work with program leadership to define agendas, prepare recommendations, document decisions, and ensure follow-through.
  • Help manage the consulting and systems integration partners supporting the transformation, ensuring their work remains aligned with PRH priorities and commitments.
  • Support program leadership in managing scope, resource, and commercial discussions with external partners.
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in program management, transformation, strategy, consulting, or a related field, with experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Experience working on a large-scale ERP, SAP S/4HANA, finance, technology, or business transformation strongly preferred.
  • Strong program management skills, with an ability to move comfortably between the strategic "big picture" and detailed execution.
  • Strong executive communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information into clear messages, decisions, and recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Highly organized and self-directed, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across business and technology teams, senior leadership, global stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Experience working across global organizations and navigating the needs of both global and local teams.
  • Experience with program management and reporting tools such as Power BI, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience working in publishing or media is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $130,000 - $140,000.All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
