The Manager, Fulfillment Optimization & Analytics is responsible for ensuring that every order moves through Art.com’s fulfillment and drop‑ship network accurately, efficiently, and predictably. This leader owns the operational systems that transmit orders, monitors and improves order‑flow performance, and uses analytics to drive continuous optimization.
This is a “hands‑on” position and the ideal candidate is skilled at working in ambiguous situations and taking ownership of processes.
This role reports on-site 5 days per week with the exception of vendor travel.
General Responsibilities:
- Order Flow Management — Oversee end‑to‑end electronic order transmission across internal systems and external partners; ensure accuracy, timeliness, and SLA adherence.
- Fulfillment Optimization — Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and failure points in routing, batching, and production workflows; implement improvements that increase throughput and reduce defects.
- Drop‑Ship Operations — Own daily drop‑ship execution, vendor communication, and performance analytics; ensure partners meet quality, speed, and reliability standards.
- Operational Analytics — Build and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reporting that illuminate order‑flow health, fulfillment performance, and vendor reliability.
- Systems Ownership — Serve as the business owner for fulfillment‑related systems; partner with Product/Engineering to troubleshoot issues, refine logic, and prioritize enhancements.
- Continuous Improvement — Lead structured optimization initiatives using data, root‑cause analysis, and experimentation.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration — Work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Product, Engineering, and Vendor Management to ensure seamless order flow and rapid issue resolution.
- Issue Resolution & Escalation — Act as the first‑line owner for order‑flow disruptions, system failures, and vendor exceptions.
- Documentation & SOPs — Maintain clear process documentation, workflows, and training materials for fulfillment and drop‑ship operations.
Skills and Abilities:
- Operational Analytics — Strong ability to analyze large datasets, identify trends, and translate insights into operational improvements.
- Fulfillment & Logistics Knowledge — Experience with order routing, warehouse workflows, or drop‑ship operations.
- Systems Fluency — Comfort working with order management systems, APIs, routing logic, and vendor integrations.
- Process Optimization — Skilled in root‑cause analysis, workflow redesign, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership — Ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across teams.
- Hands‑On Execution — Comfortable being “hands‑on”, someone who jumps in to solve problems directly.
- Communication & Documentation — Clear communicator who can translate technical issues into business terms.
Education/Experience:
- 4–7 years in analytics, operations, fulfillment, supply chain, or business systems roles
- Experience in e‑commerce preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel, BI tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and ERP systems
- Familiarity with OMS/WMS systems, API‑driven integrations, and SQL Preferred
Physical Requirements:
- This role requires navigating various warehouse and manufacturing floors, repetitive use of computer equipment such as keyboard and mouse, and frequent handling of various art pieces which can at time be large or awkward.
