Firefly Aerospace in the United States seeks an experienced Executive Assistant to support the VP of Engineering, managing a dense calendar, coordinating domestic and international travel, and driving efficiency across 400+ engineers and multiple departments.
The role requires detail‑oriented, proactive problem solving, strong communication, and the ability to handle confidential information. Onsite work at Briggs, TX and Cedar Park, TX facilities is expected.
Firefly Aerospace is a space and defense technology company that enables our world to launch, land, and operate in space – anywhere, anytime. As the partner of choice for critical space missions, Firefly is the only commercial company to launch a satellite to orbit with 24-hour notice and the only company to achieve a successful Moon landing. Our launch vehicles, lunar landers, and orbital vehicles provide government and commercial customers with full mission services from low Earth orbit to the Moon and beyond. Headquartered in north Austin, Texas, Firefly is looking for passionate, hardworking innovators to join our team and help fuel our successful trajectory into space.
We're looking for an Executive Assistant to support our VP of Engineering, who leads an organization of 400+ engineers across Propulsion, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Software, Systems Engineering, and Materials and Process. This role is the operational backbone of the engineering front office and extends support across the broader Engineering and Operations organizations. You'll own a complex, fast-moving calendar, keep priorities clear and visible, and act as a trusted point of contact for executives, customers, and partners. The right person anticipates needs, handles ambiguity calmly, and looks at every repeated task as something that could run itself. This position will be equally onsite in both our Briggs, TX facility and corporate office in Cedar Park, TX
You'll sit at the center of an engineering organization flying real hardware to orbit and the Moon. The pace is fast, the work matters, and the person in this seat directly shapes how effectively 400+ engineers are led. Firefly offers outstanding benefits for our employees, including generous health, dental and vision plans with low plan deductibles, parental leave, relocation benefits, educational reimbursement, short term disability, and flexible PTO options.
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
