Job summary

The Financial Advisory team at Teneo is seeking a Manager to join our growing practice in Australia. You will advise boards, management and lenders on underperforming companies, guiding restructuring and value recovery while leading workstreams and junior staff.

You will manage engagements across sectors, develop options with cross‑team input, and drive business development efforts within a collaborative, high‑performing culture.

Qualifications

• CA (or equivalent) qualified.
• Financial restructuring, insolvency or transaction experience gained within professional services, consultancy, bank or investment bank.
• Understanding of debt markets, banking, loan agreements and related documentation.
• Knowledge of restructuring and insolvency marketplace and key players.
• Strong analytical, cash flow and financing option skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and project management skills.
• Ability to lead small teams and develop colleagues.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Project managing parts of engagements and appointments, supporting senior leadership.
• Assist management in preparing business plans and cash flow forecasts.
• Develop, analyse and present restructuring options with cross‑team input.
• Manage portfolio of insolvency appointments and stakeholder engagement.
• Coordinate with lawyers on legal documentation and processes.
• Lead diverse teams in an inclusive culture and manage project risks.
• Support business development and grow client networks.
• Lead marketing initiatives and client outreach.
• Provide coaching and development to staff and trainees.
• Mentor junior staff and drive talent development.
