Job Description

The Ad Sales Finance Manager is responsible for digital ad sales finance processes for NBCNews.com, CNBC.com, MSNBC.com, Today.com, and the growing portfolio of news-specific virtual/FAST channels. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain a solid understanding of NBCU Ad Sales through daily interaction with Sales, Planning, Inventory, Research, business development, and Division Finance functions.

This position reports to the Finance Director for News, FAST, and TV Distribution.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage revenue forecasting, sales risk analysis, and reporting for digital properties.
  2. Develop understanding of news digital businesses (display, video, social).
  3. Track inventory and revenue shares across channels.
  4. Process and track partner payments, ensuring contractual compliance.
  5. Partner with strategy, operations, and BI for accurate financial reporting of new channels.
  6. Oversee core ad sales revenue functions, including ledger postings and revenue recognition.
  7. Coordinate with billing teams for billing accuracy and revenue management.
  8. Manage digital & streaming revenue reporting, ensuring timely and accurate data.
  9. Enhance digital media ad sales analytics and reporting tools.
  10. Represent Ad Sale Finance in cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Four-year degree (B.A., B.S.)
  • 4+ years of finance experience, preferably supporting ad sales in media/entertainment.
  • Strong financial modeling and presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Additional Details

This hybrid role requires working from the office at least three days a week. Salary range: $85,000 - $115,000, bonus eligible. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and discounts.
