Job summary

L’Oréal Finance & Legal in New York is seeking a Finance Manager for A&P spend, partnering with Brand teams to drive budget control and insightful analysis. You’ll oversee 19 Luxe brands’ advertising spend, ensure data integrity, and support strategic decision-making from our Hudson Yards location.

The role requires a Finance background, 6–8 years of experience, strong modeling and Excel skills, and a collaborative, proactive mindset in a fast-paced environment.

  • 6-8 years of experience in finance.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint, with experience in SAP.

Responsibilities

  • A&P Spend Management: Track actual A&P expenditures for 19 Luxe Division brands and manage variances.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Deliver A&P tracking, variance analysis, and LE progress with accuracy.
  • Strategic Business Partner: Support Marketing/Brand Teams and Brand Controllers with timely financial information.
  • Expertise & Standardization: Develop standard A&P processes across 19 Luxe brands.
  • Process Enhancement: Improve A&P financial processes, reporting cadences, and dashboards.
  • Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot discrepancies and improve financial accuracy.
  • Special Projects: Perform ad hoc analyses and support strategic initiatives.

As the Finance Manager supporting A&P for LUXE Division, you’ll be a critical business partner, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, manage budgets, and track the brands spend. You’ll be based in our vibrant Hudson Yards office, where you’ll play a key role in driving financial excellence and supporting strategic decision-making.


Here’s how you will have a role to play in this team:


  • A&P Spend Management: Track actual A&P expenditures at the lowest level for 19 brands within the LUXE Division. Identify variances against budget and latest estimates. Ensure data integrity, including proper PO coding and accruals.

  • Reporting & Analytics: Ensure the timely delivery of comprehensive A&P tracking process, provide insightful variance analysis, and contribute to robust A&P Latest Estimates (LEs), striving for high data accuracy and forecast improvements.

  • Strategic Business Partner: Act as a proactive and trusted finance partner to Marketing/Brand Teams and Brand Controllers, providing timely financial information, support, and challenging assumptions as needed to ensure value-driven decisions.

  • Expertise & Standardization: Establish an expertise in the A&I spend across the Luxe Division and create standard processes across all 19 brands.

  • Process Enhancement: Identify opportunities to improve existing A&P financial processes, reporting cadences, and tracking methodologies. Proactively develop and implement new analytical reports or dashboards to enhance A&P visibility, analysis and efficiency.

  • Problem-Solving: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, resolve discrepancies, and provide solutions that improve financial accuracy and operational flow

  • Special Projects: Perform ad hoc analyses and support strategic initiatives.

Salary Range

$98,400 - $140,200 (The actual compensation will depend on a variety of job-related factors which may include geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level)
