Job summary

Lupin Ltd is seeking a Government Pricing Manager in New Jersey to calculate, analyze, and report pricing for federal and state programs. This role supports government pricing calculations, submissions, and compliance with applicable regulations and policies.

You will collaborate with Contracts & Pricing, Sales, Legal, and other teams to resolve pricing data issues, prepare analyses for management, and support audits and policy updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical government pricing, finance, accounting, or related healthcare roles.
• Working knowledge of government pricing programs including Medicaid, AMP, URA, and 340B.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical contracting, rebates, chargebacks, and managed care concepts preferred.
• Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills with high accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to maintain detailed documentation and ensure compliance with policies and government regulations.

Job Description

The Government Pricing Manager is responsible for the calculation, analysis, and reporting of product pricing associated with federal and state government programs. This position supports the administration of Government and Commercial Contract obligations, performs government pricing calculations and submissions, prepares reporting and analytical schedules, monitors pricing trends, and helps ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and company policies.

• Calculate, analyze, and validate government pricing data for monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions to federal and state government agencies.
• Review and analyze transaction data to ensure the proper inclusion and exclusion of transactions in accordance with established government pricing methodologies.
• Perform detailed analysis of:
  • Service and administrative fees
  • Other pricing-related data elements
• Utilize variance and analytical reporting tools to evaluate data integrity, pricing calculations, and reporting accuracy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, investigate, and resolve source system data issues impacting government pricing calculations and reporting.
• Prepare recurring analyses, metrics, and reports for management review.
• Support the implementation and maintenance of approved policies, procedures, work instructions, and calculation methodologies resulting from regulatory changes or business needs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to departmental procedures and controls.
• Manage quarterly 340B pricing calculations, including analysis of Average Manufacturer Price (AMP) and Unit Rebate Amount (URA), preparation of required submissions, pricing notifications, and support for audits.
• Review government pricing outputs to ensure alignment with contractual requirements and applicable regulations.
• Support administration of Medicaid-related programs, including State Pharmaceutical Assistance Programs (SPAP), AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAP), and supplemental rebate programs.
• Collaborate with Contracts & Pricing, Chargebacks & Rebates, Trade Operations, Customer Service, Sales, Legal, and other functional areas to resolve issues related to customer eligibility, class of trade, product setup, sales transactions, fees, rebates, and other data elements impacting government pricing.
• Maintain accurate and complete supporting documentation for government pricing calculations, assumptions, and submissions.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing required analyses, documentation, and reporting support.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $95,000 to $118,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, the type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Lupin is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
