- Develop and implement local store marketing strategies and supporting tools to drive foot traffic, increase sales, and enhance brand visibility for individual store locations.
- Collaborate with operators and franchisees to tailor marketing plans and promotions to the specific needs and demographics of each market.
- Partners with the marketing leadership and franchisees to develop marketing plans and programs for initiatives, campaigns, promotions, and product launches, to achieve desired objectives/targets, and to support the overall brand strategy.
- Lead and manage marketing support as part of cross-functional team for New Store Opening process including Grand Opening Marketing strategy, planning and execution.
- Provides input and supports the menu development strategy, testing, and logistics.
- Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities and optimize marketing efforts for maximum impact.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of local marketing campaigns, tracking key metrics and ROI to inform future strategies and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to store staff on local marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with brand standards and objectives.
- Serve as the main point of contact for local marketing inquiries and support, liaising between corporate marketing teams, franchisees, and external vendors.
- Have a basic understanding of advertising brief/creative development process to executing media campaigns and building out measurement plans with KPIs.
- Monitors franchisees’ usage of trademarks and logos to ensure alignment with standards.
Field Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Work closely and partners with operations partners (FPLs) to ensure all objectives, tests, plans are executed to optimal levels inclusive of franchisee business review participation to understand low/high performers to effectively build local marketing plans in collaboration with Ops.
- Maintain scorecards to track sales, off-premise ratings and operational metrics to ensure each location meets standards and keep a pulse on current challenges, opportunities and strengths.
- Creates blueprint for local marketing tests that align with brand initiatives and franchise client’s objectives that can scale to larger market or systemwide programs.
- Discuss business needs with franchise clients and develop local media strategies to meet objectives, inclusive of media briefs and lead collaboration calls with media agency partners.
Local On-site Activation & Community Involvement
- Required to attend market visits, community events, PR related activities, and grand opening events to support national and local business goals.
- Leading Community activation efforts to help drive traffic & sales for franchise clients as well as building learnings and best practice to scale to system.
- Conduct field market visits, trade area surveys to identify learnings, best practices and recommendations for each market visit
Grand Opening Support
- Primary marketing point of contact during the CTO process, ensuring franchisees are educated on processes and held accountable for grand opening responsibilities.
- Lead Grand Opening marketing support for NSO in creating, planning, and executing local marketing tactics. Includes developing promotional assets with internal Creative team that achieve project goals and align with local market/franchisee needs.
- Internal collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders (Training, Ops, brand marketing, etc.) on grand opening responsibilities and activities.
Sampling Program Management
- Partner with franchisees to develop and execute strategic sampling plans based on overall brand initiatives and goals to drive brand awareness and traffic through in-field visits and virtual training support.
- Identify and secure high-traffic locations and events for sampling activations, ensuring maximum exposure to the target audience.
- Track and analyze sampling performance metrics to assess effectiveness, optimize resources, and inform future sampling strategies.
- Manage sampling budgets effectively, negotiating costs and allocating resources to maximize return on investment (ROI).
Relationship Management
- Builds strong and effective relationships with Franchise Partners to translate franchisees’ needs into action; this position collaborates very closely with franchisees directly, so this candidate must have strong business acumen and maintain a professional “can-do” attitude.
- Maintains consistent communication (e.g., phone, email, face-to-face, etc.) with franchisees to discuss specific marketing needs, to encourage franchisees’ engagement in marketing their business, and to maintain compliance with brand standards.
- Establishes and maintains trust and credibility with franchisees, vendors, and marketing associates.

The Manager, Field Marketing plays a pivotal role in planning, developing, and executing marketing programs, with a strong emphasis on the development and execution of in-field sampling, new store openings, and local store marketing initiatives in collaboration with franchisees. This position is responsible for the development of local marketing plans aimed at enhancing brand awareness, driving targeted audiences to stores, and ultimately achieving profitability and sustained growth. Serving as the primary point of contact and support for franchisees across the system, the Manager, Field Marketing fosters strong partnerships to ensure alignment and successful execution of brand marketing strategies at the local level.
