Job summary

MSP International Airport is seeking a Manager, Field Maintenance Operations to oversee maintenance and fleet operations across the campus. You will develop field maintenance practices, coordinate with other departments, and guide supervisors in labor and administrative activities.

This safety-sensitive position requires pre-employment drug screening and may involve stepping in for the Assistant Director in their absence; participation in emergency snow and ice control operations may be required.

Under the general direction of the Assistant Director, Field Maintenance, the Manager, Field Maintenance Operations is responsible for the maintenance and fleet operations of the MSP International Airport campus. Managers, Field Maintenance Operations oversee the creation and implementation of field maintenance and fleet operations practices and work procedures by identifying, assessing, and facilitating airport field maintenance and fleet priorities, coordinating work efforts with other airport departments, advising/directing supervisors and employees in a wide range of labor, performance, and administrative activities. Managers, Field Maintenance Operations assist the Assistant Director, Field Maintenance in the performance of all designated job functions and may be assigned to assume full responsibility of the Assistant Director’s functions in the absence of the Assistant Director. Managers, Field Maintenance Operations are subject to call-in in the event of any emergency condition, including snow and ice control operations.
