Lee Health is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Manager of Facility-Based Accounts Receivable to lead payer-specific hospital accounts receivable operations and drive timely, accurate, and compliant reimbursement. This position provides direct leadership to Accounts Receivable Supervisors and their teams while developing strategies to improve cash collections, reduce AR days and denials, and optimize reimbursement. The Manager oversees assigned payer portfolios, monitors AR performance and reimbursement trends, and ensures timely resolution of denied, rejected, underpaid, and unpaid claims. Key performance indicators include AR days, aging, cash collections, denial rates, productivity, inventory, and first-pass resolution. The Manager will coach and develop supervisory staff, establish performance expectations, promote accountability and employee engagement, and identify opportunities for process improvement. The role also partners closely with Revenue Cycle leadership and departments including Patient Financial Services, Patient Access, HIM, Coding, Contracting, Compliance, Clinical Services, and Information Technology to resolve issues and improve revenue cycle performance.
Education: Associates degree in business administration or related field required. A combination of one of the following professional certifications and experience may be considered in lieu of degree: Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP-I) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) (HFMA) Certification combined with an additional 4 years of qualifying experience.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years experience in large multi-campus health systems with extensive knowledge of all revenue cycle functions, compliance and healthcare regulations. Two years management experience required. Epic experience required.
