Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an experienced Manager, Facilities Electrical Engineering to lead a distributed team responsible for designing and implementing power and control systems within nuclear component manufacturing facilities. You will report to the Director, Electrical Engineering and be based at the Rock Hill, SC facility with a hybrid work arrangement.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of strong and progressively more responsible leadership experience.
  • Experience managing engineering teams is preferred.

  • Gather and analyze input, evaluate alternatives, and make effective decisions.
  • Excellent team building skills with the ability to engage with technical and non-technical team members.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversite and direction to a distributed team of engineers primarily based in the United States.
  • Recruit new talent for long-term business needs including interns/co-ops and new hire engineers and technologists.
  • Responsible for resources trained, qualified, and supporting the design and operation of facilities electrical systems and equipment.
  • Realize best practices, lessons learned, & improvement in project performance and margins.
  • Prepare and implement training and development plans. Assist in developing next generation of engineers to ensure future WEC bench strength.
  • Support development and mentoring of the team to aid in their technical development, project performance and work satisfaction.
  • Provide management team information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing engineering data and trends.
  • Be the department contact for capital projects and facility improvement initiatives.
  • Engage with customers, partners and WEC senior management.

About The Role

As the Manager, Facilities Electrical Engineering, you will manage a work group responsible for the design and implementation of power and control systems within nuclear component manufacturing facilities. Responsibilities include analysis, application of design processes, integration of interdisciplinary design processes, and support of plant operations.

You will report to the Director, Electrical Engineering and be located at our Rock Hill, SC facility. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with regular on-site collaboration at our Rock Hill, SC office.

Key Responsibilities

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
