Job description

Amazon is looking for someone to develop and execute external engagement strategies in Ohio, connecting with civic leaders, local government officials, business organizations, and community stakeholders to help Amazon become the most trusted business and community partner in the region.

You'll build and foster relationships, plan events that bring together community and business leaders, and represent Amazon throughout your assigned region. Whether you're speaking at a civic association meeting or addressing a regional business group, you'll meet people where they are in ways that are meaningful to customers, neighbors, and local stakeholders.

If you have a track record of developing community engagement strategies and moving initiatives from concept to completion, we'd love to hear from you.

Key job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute external engagement strategies that advance Amazon's community presence through partnerships and stakeholder relationships connected to targeted goals and deliverables
  • Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, civic associations, local government officials, and opinion leaders across your assigned region
  • Plan and coordinate events that bring together community stakeholders, business leaders, and Amazon representatives to strengthen local partnerships
  • Collaborate across teams to influence decisions through community intelligence and stakeholder insights
  • Create engagement plans, regional assessments, and community impact summaries for leadership review
  • Travel throughout the assigned region to meet with community leaders, attend events, and maintain a visible presence across local stakeholder groups
A day in the life

Your days will be spent out in the community — meeting with civic leaders, attending business events, and building relationships with local stakeholders across your region. You'll develop engagement positions on community issues, plan events, and create documents that inform leadership decisions on regional priorities. Some days you'll be speaking at a civic association meeting; others, you'll be collaborating with internal partners to advance engagement objectives. You'll handle complex problems, make trade-offs between short-term and long-term needs, and move initiatives from concept to completion.

About the team

This team is dedicated to making Amazon the most trusted business and community partner in the regions it serves. You'll join a collaborative group that drives engagement with local stakeholders, business organizations, and civic associations. The team works closely with partners across the company to deliver meaningful community outcomes — from strengthening local partnerships to advancing regional engagement objectives. If you're energized by building genuine relationships and making a real impact in your community, this is the team for you.
