Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a strategic leader to head the cross-functional team responsible for the design and integration of complex exterior roof systems for the SUV product line. The role requires 10+ years in DRE with exterior roof systems and strong CATIA/PLM skills.

You will drive design decisions, coordinate with Design, Manufacturing and Quality, and oversee DVPR and timing aligned with major program milestones. Travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Design Release Engineering (DRE) experience with Exterior Roof systems.
• Strong knowledge of DFMEA and GD&T.
• Ability to lead technical tradeoffs and build a team.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% and on-site work as needed.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End design and integration of Exterior Roof System and related subsystems.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing and Quality teams for compatibility and performance.
• Oversee system validation and verification (DVP&R) for safety and regulatory standards.
• Develop timelines and deliverables aligned with program milestones.

Job Description

We are looking for a strategic leader to head the cross-functional team responsible for the design and integration of complex roof systems for their SUV product line.

• End-to-End Design: Lead the design and integration of the Exterior Roof System and related sub-systems from concept to production.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Design, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure system compatibility and performance.
• Validation: Oversee system-level validation and verification (DVP&R) activities to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Strategic Planning: Develop timelines and deliverables aligned with major program milestones.

What You Bring to the Team

• Experience: 10+ years of Design Release Engineering (DRE) experience specifically with Exterior Roof systems and Body Sealing.
• Technical Mastery: Deep knowledge of CATIA, PLM systems, DFMEA, and GD&T.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (Master's preferred).
• Soft Skills: A "start-up spirit" with the ability to lead technical tradeoffs and build a team from the ground up in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical/Travel: Ability to travel up to 20% and perform tasks on-site as needed.
