ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manager, Events is responsible for planning and executing a portfolio of events and experiences across Savills North America. Reporting to the Director, Events & Experiences, this role will independently lead assigned events while also supporting the planning and execution of larger-scale, flagship programs led by the Director.
This individual will work closely with the Manager, Event Operations and maintain visibility across the broader events portfolio to ensure continuity, collaboration, and effective team coverage. The role requires someone who can independently manage events, contribute to complex programs, and step in to support the Director or Manager, Event Operations as needed.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, collaborative event professional with strong project management skills, sound judgment, and an eye for creating polished and engaging attendee experiences.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Event Planning & Execution
- Independently manage assigned events from kickoff through onsite execution and post-event evaluation.
- Develop and manage event timelines, project plans, production schedules, run-of-show documents, and key deliverables.
- Coordinate event logistics including venues, food and beverage, audiovisual production, room setups, transportation, signage, entertainment, and gifting.
- Serve as the primary onsite lead for assigned events, managing vendors, internal teams, speakers, and real-time event needs.
- Anticipate risks, resolve issues proactively, and **escalate** significant concerns when appropriate.
- Conduct post-event debriefs and contribute to event reporting and recommendations.
Flagship Events & Experiences
- Serve as a key planning and production partner to the Director, Events & Experiences on large-scale, flagship, executive-level, and high-profile programs.
- Own designated workstreams and deliverables within Director-led events.
- Support overall event strategy and creative direction into detailed plans and executable workstreams.
Stakeholder & Team Partnership
- Lead planning meetings and manage communication across internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Partner with cross functional corporate teams to ensure events align with Savills brand, messaging, and broader business priorities.
- Maintain visibility into the broader Events & Experiences portfolio, including key timelines, stakeholders, vendors, registration activity, budgets, and major deliverables.
- Provide coverage and continuity for the Director, Events & Experiences and Manager, Event Operations as needed.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with venues, production partners, audiovisual providers, caterers, and other event vendors.
- Review event specifications, proposals, banquet event orders, floor plans, and production requirements.
- Support budget development, vendor negotiations, and event reconciliation for assigned programs.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the team’s event systems, processes, templates, and operational standards to effectively provide backup coverage when required.
Conferences, Client & Virtual Events
- Coordinate conference and sponsorship deliverables, booth activations, client receptions, and related programming.
- Produce virtual and hybrid programs including webinars, town halls, training sessions, and leadership meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 6 - 8 years of experience in corporate events, event production, experiential marketing, hospitality, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage events from planning through onsite execution.
- Strong project management, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience managing vendors, budgets, contracts, event logistics, and production.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
- Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Experience with Cvent, Zoom Events, or similar event technology preferred.
- Experience with conferences, trade shows, corporate meetings, and client-facing events preferred.
- Willingness and ability to travel for onsite event execution.
