Valley Children’s Healthcare seeks a Manager, Enterprise Project Management to lead a high-performing PM team and oversee complex, cross-functional initiatives aligning with the health system’s strategic objectives.
The role partners with executive sponsors to define goals, scope, timelines, and success measures, ensuring PMI methodologies and governance. This position supports enterprise-wide transformation, organizational readiness for change, and continuous improvement.
The Organizational Project Management Office (OPMO) plays a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, execution, and oversight of projects within the hospital. Our mission is to enhance operational efficiency, improve outcomes, and support strategic initiatives through effective project management practices. The OPMO at Valley Children's fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement; enhances the capacity for successful project delivery contributing to operational efficiencies; and aligns projects with the hospital's strategic objectives, ensuring that resources are allocated to meet the needs of the hospital.
The Manager, Enterprise Project Management is responsible for leading and developing a high-performing project management team while overseeing complex, cross-functional projects and organizational change initiatives that support the health system's strategic objectives. This role provides leadership, direction, coaching, and performance management to project management staff, ensuring consistent application of project management methodologies, effective resource utilization, and successful project delivery across the organization. The Manager leads enterprise-wide transformation efforts, operational improvement initiatives, and other executive-sponsored projects designed to enhance the patient experience, improve quality outcomes, and drive operational excellence. The position partners with executive sponsors, department leaders, project teams, and external vendors to define project goals, scope, timelines, and success measures. Serving as a key liaison across the organization, this role ensures effective project execution from planning through implementation while fostering stakeholder engagement, change adoption, and sustainable results. The Manager establishes project governance standards, promotes best practices, and ensures adherence to Project Management Institute (PMI) methodologies and organizational quality standards. In addition, the position contributes to strategic and operational planning for enterprise initiatives, supports organizational readiness for change, and drives continuous improvement efforts that advance organizational performance and strategic priorities.
This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of being on site 2-3 days per week or as needed to support operational and team requirements.
