Job Summary

Manages a team of software engineers. Evaluates drafts of design for software enhancements and new products including cloud-based or internet-related tools. Prepares and presents reports outlining the outcome of projects. Selects, develops, and evaluates project team to ensure efficient operations.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience and 2+ years of management experience or combination of education and experience

Experience with continuous production deployment of customer applications utilizing one of the following modern technology platforms: (1) AWS, (2) Azure or (3) Google Cloud Services.

Experience with managing teams utilizing AI tools in software generation and in implementing AI solutions within enterprise-level software.

Proficiency in more than one major programming language

Deep understanding of the foundation of software engineering principles, including system design, architecture, and development practices

Proven success in a fast-paced development environment, with a focus on improving development practices and processes to enhance team efficiency, collaboration, and code quality in a large-scale organization

Proven success as a coach and mentor of technical staff

Ability to motivate yourself and others, prioritize your own work, and adapt and thrive in a dynamic team environment

Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification

  • Experience with teams utilizing React or Ruby

The pay range for this role is based on relative market data and alignment with our compensation philosophy. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum of the pay range for each job posting, which is used to determine new hire rates/salaries and takes into consideration multiple factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, abilities, proficiencies, experience, education, licensures/certifications, as well as business and organizational needs. nCino reserves the right to modify the posted range consistent with our internal practices and external market movement. The base salary range for this job is:

$121,900 - $213,300 USD
