Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an Engineering Lab Systems & Facilities Manager to lead a cross-functional team supporting facility operations, calibration, test systems, and lab IT. You will drive strategic capital planning and ensure reliable lab infrastructure for product development and validation.

You will manage budgets and schedules, collaborate with engineering and internal customers, and uphold quality and regulatory standards across the lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field is required.
• Demonstrated people leadership experience leading technical or cross-functional teams is required.
• Significant experience in engineering, lab operations, facilities, technical systems, or related environments.
• Experience leading projects, budgets, and operational priorities.
• Experience with capital planning, capital execution, or prioritization of technical investments.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a cross-functional team supporting facility operations, calibration, test systems, and lab IT.
• Set team priorities, clarify ownership, and ensure execution of operational and project commitments.
• Ensure reliable operation and readiness of lab infrastructure, test equipment, data acquisition, software tools, and supporting systems.
• Provide leadership for facility maintenance coordination, calibration execution, test system support, and lab IT performance through the team.
• Partner with engineering, lab leadership, and internal customers to align team support and investment priorities with business and project needs.
• Lead strategic capital planning for the lab, including identification, prioritization, and execution of capital projects.
• Oversee lab and facility capital execution, including equipment upgrades, infrastructure improvements, and new installations.
• Manage budgets, schedules, resources, and performance metrics to deliver results aligned with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with applicable quality, regulatory, and operational requirements within areas of team responsibility.

Join Thermo King as our Engineering Lab Systems & Facilities Manager! As Manager, you will lead a cross-functional team responsible for facility engineering support, lab capital execution, calibration, test systems, and lab IT. You will ensure the lab infrastructure, systems, and support processes required for product development, verification, and validation are in place and operating effectively, while also leading strategic capital planning aligned with business needs.

What You Will Bring

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced education in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
• Experience in a laboratory, product development, or test environment.
• Familiarity with HVAC, refrigeration, or related mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with calibration practices, lab software tools, or technical support functions in an engineering environment.
• Experience leading facility or lab infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Demonstrated strength in operational discipline and continuous improvement.
