Job summary

Garner Health is seeking an Engineering Manager for our Business Technology area to lead the engineering efforts that power our internal customer support engine. Reporting to the VP of Platform Engineering, you will ensure scalable, secure systems as we enter a new phase of growth.

You will own the technical vision and execution to keep Garner's internal employee experience efficient and reliable while supporting a rapidly expanding workforce in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Grow and develop the business technology team, handling capacity planning, hiring and development.
• Provide and track meaningful metrics showing organizational health, including Support SLA adherence.

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager for our Business Technology area who will lead the engineering efforts that power Garner's internal customer support engine. This role reports to the VP of Platform Engineering and is critical to ensuring our internal employee-facing systems scale seamlessly as we enter our next phase of hyper-growth.

You will be responsible for the technical vision and execution that allows Garner to maintain its industry-leading efficiency while supporting a rapidly expanding employee base.

Where you will work

This role will be based in our New York City office (in the Financial District). You must be willing to work in the office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

What you will do

• Own Garner's identity provider solution end to end ensuring the optimal onboarding and off-boarding experience for our employees and contractors while maintaining the proper security bar
• Own Garner's internal network end to end, ensuring a seamless networking experience for employees in our NYC HQ
• Grow and develop the business technology team, owning the capacity planning, hiring, development, and termination of support and systems engineering resources
• Provide and nurture meaningful metrics that demonstrate your organization's health at a glance, including Support SLA adherence, etc.

• Mastery in managing high-impact, strategic relationships with internal stakeholders, ensuring technical roadmaps which are aligned with Garner's internal / employee experience objectives
• The capacity to accurately identify and correct employee misallocations, ensuring the team is focused on the highest-leverage opportunities
• A systematic approach that drives innovation and improves how Garner delivers our internal employee experience

Compensation Transparency

The target salary range for this position is $239,000 - $292,000. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.
