Job summary

Self Regional Healthcare in Greenwood, SC is seeking an experienced facilities leader to oversee hospital maintenance and capital projects. You will manage building systems, safety programs, budgeting, and vendor coordination to ensure reliable operations while prioritizing patient care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hospital maintenance process and team, including capital projects, building maintenance, steam distribution, plumbing, medical gas systems, campus HVAC systems, electrical, life safety systems, and other equipment.
  • Provide budgets, conduct assessments, schedule resources, establish timelines, and direct overall management of daily maintenance requirements.
  • Schedules vendor maintenance repairs to minimize disruption to patient care and reviews PM, inspection logs, and history records.
  • Recognizes when replacement of capital equipment is needed and manages replacement process.
  • Ensure code and regulatory compliance requirements are met by maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
  • Conducts regular safety rounds and supports energy conservation and environmentally responsible measures.
  • Supports hospital initiatives for change and leads by example; seeks input from staff and adjusts as practical.
  • Requires a highly engaged positive attitude with responsibilities of team leadership, planning, scheduling, assessing, organizing, and directing.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by Leadership.

Job Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead hospital maintenance process and team, including capital projects, building maintenance, steam distribution, plumbing, medical gas systems, campus HVAC systems, electrical, life safety systems, and other equipment. Serve as a technical resource for equipment and buildings.
  • Provide budgets, conduct assessments, schedule resources, establish timelines, and direct overall management of daily maintenance requirements. Maintains expenses not to exceed budget allowances. Evaluates and makes changes to processes for optimized efficiencies.
  • Schedules vendor maintenance repairs to minimize disruption to patient care. Reviews completed PM, inspection log sheets, and history records. Monitors the overall effectiveness of Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Recognizes when replacement of capital equipment is needed. Manages replacement process of equipment.
  • Ensure code and regulatory compliance requirements are met by the maintenance, repairs, and associated documentation.
  • Conducts regular safety rounds and ensures policies for safe practices are updated and utilized. Supports, initiates, and facilitates energy conservation and environmentally responsible measures. Implements practices that meet productivity goals, limits overtime activity, and adjusts staffing needs.
  • Fully supports hospital/departmental initiatives for change and leads by example. Seeks input from staff on effectiveness of operations and adjusts to needs as practical.
  • Requires a highly engaged positive attitude with responsibilities of team leadership, planning, scheduling, assessing, organizing, and directing.
  • Performs any other duties as requested by Leadership.
Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other Engineering required
  • 5 years of Supervisory experience required
