This position combines Maintenance Management responsibilities with a strong focus on Energy Management and collaborates cross-functionally with key site stakeholders, including Plant, Technical, Asset, Project Engineering, and Maintenance & Production teams, as well as external partners such as suppliers, contractors, and regulators. The primary objective of the role is to drive energy efficiency and support the company’s sustainability goals by reducing energy intensity and CO₂ emissions through best practices, energy-saving initiatives, and innovative solutions, while ensuring compliance with corporate and regulatory standards. The role also ensures the reliability, efficiency, and compliance of site buildings and utilities, including water, electricity, HVAC, compressed air, and steam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and optimize all site utilities and facilities, including water, steam/boilers, electricity and power distribution, natural gas, compressed air, chilled water, HVAC, and building maintenance.
  • Ensure safe, reliable, compliant, and cost-efficient operation of utilities and facilities, meeting environmental, safety, and quality standards.
  • Lead the site energy agenda by developing and executing multi-year energy and GHG reduction strategies aligned with corporate sustainability and SBTi goals.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report site energy consumption and KPIs, identifying inefficiencies, errors, and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Identify, prioritize, and lead energy‑saving and reliability improvement projects from concept through execution, delivering measurable cost and energy reductions.
  • Provide strong technical leadership for utility equipment (boilers, compressors, HVAC, electrical systems), including maintenance strategies and replacement recommendations.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs for utilities and facilities in line with industry best practices and production requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Maintenance Management, Production, Engineering, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with site needs and business priorities.
  • Lead incident response for utility disruptions and provide on‑call support; coordinate shutdowns and start‑ups to protect production continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with energy and utility regulations and build/maintain an energy management system aligned with ISO 50001.
  • Support and manage infrastructure, expansion, and construction‑related projects, applying strong project and construction management skills.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a minimum of 7 years of related experience in manufacturing or industrial environments; food industry experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong industrial electrical background, including power distribution, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and arc‑flash/NFPA 70E compliance.
  • Solid knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM), with emphasis on preventive maintenance for utilities and assets.
  • Proven experience using CMMS platforms, preferably IBM Maximo, and other asset management tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with a strong focus on coaching, developing teams, and driving performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to lead and influence energy initiatives across site‑level teams and gain buy‑in from senior leadership for key projects.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross‑functional and external stakeholders, including site leaders, auditors, and corporate energy teams.
  • Results‑oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering measurable energy reductions and cost savings aligned with defined targets and SBTi goals.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills, using data‑driven insights to optimize maintenance and energy performance.
  • Hands‑on leadership style, able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Availability to participate in on‑call rotations and provide support during nights or weekends as required.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset, staying current with new technologies and best practices in energy and maintenance management.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining team engagement, focus, and operational excellence.
