This position is a member of the Maintenance organization, reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, and is assigned to the Monday through Friday day maintenance team. The role supports a continuous 24/7/365 manufacturing operation and may be required to support days, nights, weekends, holidays, overtime, planned outages, emergency repairs, and call-in work based on business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including all safety, sanitation, and GMP work policies.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot recurring mechanical failures, perform equipment condition inspections, recommend corrective actions, and execute preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on industrial manufacturing equipment across the facility.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, rebuild, and verify operation of pumps, mechanical seals, couplings, bearings, pneumatic systems, automated valves, actuators, and related process equipment.
  • Maintain and repair process flow-control and material handling equipment, including process valves, diverter valves, slide gates, dampers, pneumatic conveying valves, rotary valves/airlocks, and related components.
  • Service pneumatic and valve-control components, including regulators, FRLs, solenoid valves, tubing, fittings, valve actuators, positioners, I/P converters, limit switches, proximity switches, and position indicators.
  • Support spare parts identification, PM improvement, repair planning, and follow-up work needed to reduce repeat failures.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and production-related maintenance issues.
  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, planning, reliability, engineering, electrical, and controls personnel to coordinate work and repair status.
  • Document work performed, inspection findings, parts used, and follow-up recommendations in the CMMS.
  • Support work outside primary focus areas as business needs require.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education & Skills
  • Must be able to freely move around entire facility.
  • Ability to work at high heights, ie. on roofs, aerial lifts, elevated platforms, up to 50 feet while wearing fall protection and proper PPE.
  • Ability to stand on concrete floor for long periods of time.
  • Ability to climb stairs, often.
  • Bend, squat, stretch and reach frequently.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs, often.
  • Ability to work in and be exposed to heat.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 365 production facility.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed.
About You
  • Root cause problem-solving skills, demonstrated by the ability to troubleshoot recurring mechanical failures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and verify the quality and completeness of maintenance work.
  • Hands-on mechanical competency with pumps, mechanical seals, couplings, bearings, pneumatic systems, valve actuators, process valves, diverter valves, slide gates, dampers, pneumatic conveying valves, rotary valves/airlocks, and related flow-control equipment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of personnel, including management, production operators, and maintenance mechanics, for work coordination, repair updates, shift handoffs, and CMMS documentation.
  • Strong personal accountability for safety, workmanship, equipment condition, and reliable return to service.
