Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, End User Computing & Email Systems, the Manager, Endpoint Security & M365 Engineering is responsible for administering Windows security patching using Intune, SCCM, and PatchMyPC, as well as the day-to‑day engineering and management of the M365 environment. Responsibilities also include ThreatDown anti‑virus administration, Crowdstrike administration, migrating data from on-premises file servers to Microsoft SharePoint, certificate creation through infrastructure provided tools, process tickets regarding onboarding & offboarding of employees and providing general Tier 3 support for these enterprise tools. Additionally, the incumbent serves as a key point of contact for Cybersecurity when investigating alerts on managed endpoints.

Responsibilities

• Assigns tickets to engineers based on the assigned project work duties.
• Provides on‑going support of the system infrastructure, including automation, processes, hardware and software.
• Leads the planning and implementation of upgrades and installations.
• Monitors automated reports and/or responds to alerts for multiple hardware and software issues.
• Leads the planning and implementation of upgrades and installations.
• Leads the efforts to migrate departments from legacy systems to new more secure systems supported by End User Computing.
• Fields queries from Academic Computing, Electronic Classrooms, Desktop Support, end users, developers, and operations staff regarding availability, performance or functionality problems.
• Works with vendors and other CUIT staff to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Manages ThreatDown sites for all managed endpoints.
• Manages Crowdstrike sites for all managed endpoints.
• Processes onboarding & offboarding requests for users.
• Evaluates nascent technologies for potential integration into our infrastructure.
• Creates documentation for engineering and support teams reference.
• Weekend and off‑hour work may be necessary on occasion.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or its equivalent required.
• Minimum 5-7 years’ related experience.
• 2+ years’ of Windows systems administration, scripting, and software packaging.
• SCCM/Intune experience.
• M365 experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with a wide array of diagnostic tools.
• Excellent verbal and written skills with a record of outstanding customer service.
• Must work well in a team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline driven environment.
• Demonstrated excellence in a variety of competencies including teamwork/collaboration, analytical thinking, communication and influencing skills, and technical expertise.
• Ability to work with changing priorities and with multiple projects.
• Ability to be precise and attentive to detail is essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
