Job summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of Procedural Nursing and Clinical Operations, the role oversees scope reprocessing, throughput, quality readiness, and patient experience, partnering with GI leadership, anesthesia, nursing, infection prevention, and operations.

Qualifications

A Brief Overview

The Manager of Endoscopy Services is responsible for day-to-day leadership and operational management of Endoscopy Services within the Interventional and Procedural Services Platform. Scope includes endoscopy procedure rooms, pre-procedure and post-procedure coordination as assigned, endoscopy access and throughput, scope reprocessing/high-level disinfection coordination, staff competency, and patient experience. Reporting to the Senior Director of Procedural Nursing and Clinical Operations, the Manager collaborates with GI/endoscopy physician leadership, anesthesia, nursing, the Endoscopy Reprocessing/HLD lead, Infection Prevention, SPD, Quality, scheduling, and Business Operations to ensure safe, efficient, reliable, patient-centered endoscopy care.

What you will do

Endoscopy Operations and Access Manage daily endoscopy operations, room utilization, staffing assignments, case readiness, schedule flow, add-on coordination, pre-procedure readiness, recovery throughput, and discharge processes. Partner with procedural scheduling/access teams to optimize procedure availability, wait times, cancellations, authorization readiness, and patient communication. Ensure clear roles and standardized workflows for sedation support, monitoring, specimen handling, documentation, device manipulation, and recovery. High-Level Disinfection and Reprocessing Oversight Provide operational oversight for endoscopy scope reprocessing and high-level disinfection processes in partnership with the Endoscopy Reprocessing/HLD lead, Infection Prevention, Quality, and regulatory partners. Ensure staff training, competency validation, documentation, equipment readiness, reprocessing compliance, and timely escalation of reprocessing concerns. Team Leadership and Competency Supervise endoscopy nursing and technical team members as assigned. Lead recruitment, onboarding, staff scheduling, competency completion, performance feedback, engagement, retention, and professional development. Promote a culture of C-I-CARE, safety, teamwork, service reliability, and accountability. Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Readiness Monitor endoscopy quality indicators, patient safety events, infection prevention issues, sedation events, specimen handling defects, documentation concerns, and event follow-up. Partner with the Platform Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Coordinator to maintain survey readiness, policy compliance, quality dashboards, and corrective action tracking. Resource Stewardship and Performance Improvement Improve scope utilization, room utilization, recovery throughput, staffing productivity, supply utilization, documentation accuracy, and patient experience. Partner with Business Operations and Supply Chain to monitor supplies, devices, implants or special equipment, vendor requirements, and cost per case.

Key Performance Metrics

Endoscopy room utilization, procedure wait time, cancellation rate, pre-procedure readiness, recovery length of stay, and patient experience. Scope reprocessing/high-level disinfection compliance, competency completion, training completion, reprocessing defects, and regulatory readiness. Sedation safety events, specimen handling defects, infection prevention indicators, procedural complications, and safety event closure. Staffing productivity, overtime, vacancy, turnover, engagement, certification, and competency completion.

Education Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in nursing required. Master’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.

Experience Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in endoscopy, perioperative, procedural, critical care, ambulatory procedural, or related acute care settings. Minimum of two (2) years of formal or informal leadership experience preferred. Experience with endoscopy operations, high-level disinfection, regulatory readiness, patient flow, and physician partnership preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of endoscopy operations, patient flow, sedation workflows, high-level disinfection, infection prevention, and regulatory requirements. Ability to lead daily operations, manage competing priorities, and implement standard work. Strong communication, coaching, quality improvement, data interpretation, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.

Licenses and Certifications

BLS - Basic Life Support required . RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure And/Or Compact State Licensure required

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $87.31 - $116.42 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
