Asante Ashland seeks a Manager of the Emergency Department to join their team in Ashland, Oregon. The role provides operational and nursing leadership for about 35 patients daily and reports to the Director of Operations with a dotted-line to the Chief Nursing Officer.

The ideal candidate will mentor staff, coordinate resources, and guide change while maintaining Ashland's close-knit environment. CNML/TNCC certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• Active RN license required.
• A minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an Emergency Department required.
• CNML certification and TNCC certification preferred.

The Position

• The Manager, Emergency Department will provide operational and nursing leadership for the Emergency Department at Asante Ashland, supporting approximately 35 patients each day.
• Reporting to the Director of Operations, with a dotted-line relationship to the Chief Nursing Officer, this leader will partner with the Director on departmental decisions and oversee a small, well-staffed team.
• Key priorities include establishing clear expectations and accountability, mentoring staff, coordinating resources, and providing stability following several leadership transitions. This leader will guide change thoughtfully while maintaining the department’s close-knit, family-like environment.
• The ideal candidate will be a decisive, collaborative emergency nursing leader who can build trust with an engaged team and address performance concerns directly. Strong change management experience will be critical, as will a desire to build a lasting presence in Ashland.

Requirements

• BSN required.
• Active RN license required.
• A minimum of five years of progressive nursing leadership experience in an Emergency Department required.
• Certified Nurse Manager and Leader (CNML) certification and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred.
