Northrop Grumman seeks an Embedded Software Engineering Manager 2 in Linthicum, MD, to lead software teams across the Baltimore area. You will oversee design, development, and integration of software components, and mentor staff while ensuring adherence to Agile processes and internal development plans.

The role requires strong leadership, budget and resource management, and collaboration with business leaders and customers to deliver secure defense software solutions.

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8 years of related experience OR Master’s degree with 6 years OR PhD with 4 years of related experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required; DoD Secret clearance required to start and maintain.
• Experience leading software engineering/development teams and coordinating performance, staffing and career development.

Must be able to maintain this level of access for continued employment.4 years of experience as a Software Engineering/Development Team Leader3 years identifying risks, suggesting mitigation, tracking defects, developing resolutions, and reporting status.Experience with software Integration and TestPreferred QualificationsPrior experience within an IPT lead role.Prior CAM (Cost Account Management) experience.Working knowledge of Linux or VxWorks operating systemsBoard support software experienceManagement of budget for technical activitiesExperience with software Integration and TestExperience generating proposals and estimates inputs for new workPrior software functional management experience (executing performance appraisals, staffing allocations, software process leadership, and career goals development)Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
