Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands & is an industry disruptor with a science-first approach to innovation. DECIEM was Co-Founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe, a visionary who set out to change the beauty industry through authenticity and transparency. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for
Manager, Education & Events - Americas to lead our education and event strategy within the Americas Region. This position will lead brand + product training for our Field and Retailers, as well as lead our eventing and collateral strategy to drive customer engagement and trial.
This is a hybrid role based out of our
NYC Regional Office and will report directly to our Director, Brand -Americas and partner closely with our Global L&D team.
The pay range for this role is $90,000-$95,000 depending on experience.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE
- Serve as the lead educator for the DECIEM brand across North American retail partners; provide science-based product knowledge + educational training on DECIEM’s brand history, regimens and ingredient knowledge
- Develop and optimize education strategies+ decks tailored by region and retail partner, delivering uniquely engaging content for the market, converting retailer education teams and personnel into DECIEM advocates.
- Drive DECIEM’s regional partner education strategy in collaboration with our Global Learning and Development (L&D) team and cascade these strategies across our US, CAN and LATAM respective teams.
- Manage weekly field team meetings across US, CAN and LATAM - troubleshooting any opportunities and assist in coordinating field team requests, nurturing a collaborative spirit in Deciem’s unique approach to educating, eventing, storytelling and sales.
- Develop and execute DECIEM's corporate and store-level events strategy across Americas retailers, working closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure effective event planning, KPI’s, execution, and recaps with the goal to align with brand values and drive customer engagement
- Own sampling and promotions process for Customer Facing + Field Teams
- Create an always on process of cascading training and events best-practices and playbooks with our ELC affiliates in LATAM
- Manage and update the budget, and look for keyways to ensure the budget is maintained
- Responsible for completing operational tasks including administrative processes, updating marketing calendar and processing gratis and PO’s.
- Foster a positive learning environment and represent the key mission and values of DECIEM
- Stay up to date on DECIEM products and brand information, as well as current skincare and industry trends, maintaining expert knowledge
- Support with the sustainability and social impact team and diversity, equity & inclusion team regularly to incorporate our approach into aspects of work
- Perform other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED TO GET THE JOB DONE
- Familiarity with traditional and modern education methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
- Experience managing corporate and store level events within a retailer environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience envisioning, establishing, and implementing high-level content strategies in support of education + eventing
- Proficient knowledge of the office pack with a strong suit for Excel and Google Slides/Google Sheets
- Firm understanding of the current market and cosmetic trends
- Sephora experience required
- French bilingual speaking is preferred
