Job Description

The Distribution Operations Manager (2nd-shift) is responsible for leading the daily operations of multiple departments within a Delivery Distribution Center (DDC). This role provides leadership and development to building supervisors, ensuring all performance, safety, and quality policies and procedures meet Best Buy’s high standards. The manager actively participates in long- and short-term planning for the center, maintains operational efficiency, and implements process improvements to meet operational goals and P&L budgets. They foster an environment of openness and trust among employees and build collaborative relationships across departments to achieve business objectives. Additionally, they assist in managing the facility in the building leader’s absence. This position reports to the Distribution Center building leader and supports the 2nd shift of the distribution center.

Responsibilities:

• Provides tactical direction and leadership to a large operations staff, including supervisors within a delivery distribution center (DDC).
• Ensures all performance, safety, and quality policies and procedures are adhered to across departments through effective performance management programs.
• Supports problem-solving and seeks process and system improvements.
• Utilizes resources effectively to meet service levels for internal and external customers.
• Hires, develops, coaches, and advises Best Buy leaders to support and lead employees, embodying the company's values and leadership expectations.
• Manages the performance of third-party vendors, including transportation and home delivery, to uphold accountability.
• Maintains effective partnerships with internal and external customers, providing feedback and guidance to support customer service goals.
• Identifies operational improvement opportunities and collaborates with corporate supply chain teams on improvement projects.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience leading teams and managing supervisors in business, military, or related fields.
• 4+ years of logistics, operations, warehouse, inventory, and customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of Warehouse Management Systems experience.
• 5+ years of distribution experience.
