Job summary

Capital One seeks a data analytics and ML specialist to identify and mitigate systemic risks within a multi-model decisioning infrastructure.

You will build predictive models, validate with backtesting, and collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to translate insights into business actions. Emphasis is on open-source tools, cloud platforms, and emerging AI methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field plus 6 years of experience performing data analytics
• Master's degree/MBA with quantitative concentration plus 4 years
• PhD in a quantitative field plus 1 year of relevant experience
• At least 1 year of experience leveraging open-source programming languages for large-scale data analysis
• At least 1 year of experience working with machine learning
• At least 1 year of experience utilizing relational databases
• Experience with statistical modeling, model validation, and backtesting
• Knowledge of clustering, classification, sentiment analysis, time series, and deep learning
• Hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms
