Job Overview

KPMG is seeking a Manager, Data Operations to join our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Responsibilities

1. Manage and lead a team of Managed Service Provider (MSP) individuals, ensuring efficient monitoring of data pipelines and rapid incident response.
2. Ensure stability and reliability of the data platform; maintain comprehensive documentation for data operations processes.
3. Monitor performance against SLAs and implement corrective actions to meet service commitments.
4. Contribute to roadmap planning; identify opportunities for improvement and innovation; collaborate with cross-functional teams.
5. Oversee daily data performance monitoring and analysis; communicate findings to stakeholders.
6. Provide guidance and coaching to technical staff; serve as escalation point for operational issues.

Qualifications

1. Minimum five years of experience managing data operations, with expertise in data pipeline monitoring and incident response.
2. Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, MIS, or related field preferred.
3. Experience with MSP operations and strategic planning.
4. Strong documentation skills; ability to meet SLAs and improve performance; analytical skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; mentoring experience is a plus.
6. Practical experience with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, and GenAI is desirable.
