Job summary

Beghouconsulting in New York, NY seeks a senior Data Management project lead with 8+ years’ experience to guide conception, execution and delivery of DM systems for pharma commercial efforts.

You will oversee teams, define scope, manage budgets and client communications, and mentor junior staff while expanding external engagements across US pharma projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience implementing or supporting HCP, HCO, and payer MDM in the US pharmaceuticals market.
  • MDM experience in Oncology preferred; CDW experience in US Pharmaceuticals market preferred.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and time-management skills.

Job Overview

This position leads client projects in the conception, execution, and delivery of Data Management systems for the commercial efforts of pharmaceutical and life science firms. Additionally, it leads client interactions regarding existing and future MDM projects and identifies areas for future growth.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and develop Data Management projects to ensure methodological soundness; consistently deliver quality client services and drive high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget.
  • Lead project teams in the design and development of Data management projects, including the design and configuration.
  • Advise on strategy, team resources, and deadlines, and assume data investigation and platform configuration tasks as necessary to support internal team and clients.
  • Work with project leadership to define project scope and development approach for each project, including conducting issue analysis and hypothesis development.
  • Synthesize findings, develop recommendations, and communicate results to clients and internal teams.
  • Assume project management responsibilities for MDM implementation on each project with minimal supervision, including managing client communication, leading meetings, drafting agendas, managing timelines and serving as a regular point of contact for clients.
  • Work independently or with a team to build out data processes.
  • Coordinate with diverse teams, including those globally.
  • Frequently utilize coding to facilitate data processing and reporting.
  • Provide project leadership for team members regarding process improvements, planned approaches for client requests, or transition of new deliverables.
  • Monitor progress, manage risk and ensure key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes; manage project finances by maintaining financial summaries, drafting SOWs for new work, and managing client invoices.
  • Assist in supporting management, including promoting employee engagement, recruiting, training, and providing ongoing education, employee mentorship and coaching; contribute to internal initiatives as needed.
  • Foster an innovative and inclusive team-oriented work environment.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members on their professional development and serve as their Professional Development Manager.
  • Grow external client engagements, owning aspects of the relationship between the client and the firm.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Experience implementing or supporting HCP, HCO, and payer MDM or other centralized data management solutions in the US pharmaceuticals market.
  • MDM experience in Oncology therapeutic area preferred.
  • CDW experience in US Pharmaceuticals market preferred.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office products, such as PowerPoint and Word; advanced Excel skills required.
  • Coding skills in Python, R or SAS required.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Effective project management and people management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with others and adapt quickly.
  • Knowledge of data management best practices in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
Compensation and Benefits

The wage range for this role is $150,000 to $220,000.
