Job summary

Ellucian is recruiting a Manager, Data Architecture in a fully remote role. You will lead a team of data architects across Snowflake, Informatica, and dbt, shaping the enterprise data architecture strategy and governance.

The role partners with business, product, and technology teams to enable self-serve analytics and AI/ML initiatives. Candidate should have 5+ years in data architecture and leadership, with deep experience in cloud data platforms and modern data tooling, plus familiarity with

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's or its foreign equivalent in information systems, information management, computer science or information technology or closely related discipline.
• 60 months' experience in enterprise data architecture, data engineering, or BI development, with at least 2 years in a leadership/managerial role.
• 3 years' experience with cloud-native data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift or Databricks) and modern data stack tools (e.g., Informatica, dbt, Airflow).
• Experience with enterprise business systems such as Salesforce, Gainsight, and ServiceNow.
• Experience in building scalable, governed, and future-ready data platforms; stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences.

About the Opportunity

Duties are to lead and manage a team of data architects responsible for designing and implementing enterprise data solutions across platforms like Snowflake, Informatica, and dbt. Define and evolve Ellucian's enterprise data architecture strategy, standards, and governance frameworks to support analytics, reporting, and AI/ML initiatives. Oversee the development of scalable data models, pipelines, and integration patterns that support structured and semi-structured data sources. Partner cross-functionally with business, product, and technology teams to align data architecture with strategic goals and enable self-service analytics and predictive insights. Ensure data platform scalability, performance, and compliance with data governance, lineage, and security standards. Provide architectural leadership for data visualization and embedded analytics solutions using Tableau, Power BI, and other tools. Stay current on emerging trends in cloud data architecture, data mesh, generative AI, and modern data governance technologies.
